The center point of your temple is your heart. It’s the sanctuary of your sacred soul, and you will find your spiritual center there if you choose to spend time accessing it.
Your soul craves for a deeper relationship with you. It’s a place you can go to be still and know God and hear the whispers of your soul.
But you can’t hear the whispers of your soul if you don’t take time to sit in the sanctuary of your soul. It’s a spiritual practice when you take time to listen to what your soul wants to tell you.
I like to create a beautiful space where I can rest my body and mind as I prepare to meet with my soul. Sometimes I light a candle and play gentle music in the background. I usually have flowers around me and a diffuser with essential oils. I always have a journal and my favorite pen to write with so I don’t forget anything that comes up for me there.
Sometimes I need to be outside in nature to activate my senses to the beauty and vastness of creation. In that beauty, I can still my mind and go to my inner temple, the sanctuary of my soul.

At times I use guided meditation apps to help me settle in and draw my focus inward. There are many great apps, but my favorite ones are Insight Timer and the Calm App. You can sort through their guided meditations by topic or listen to calming music or sounds of nature.
Sometimes I open my bible and read ancient scripture to shift my thinking from the day’s cares to finding a pathway to my soul where I can be still and embrace the present moment.
Whatever you need to do to find that place of stillness will be unique to you. There is no ‘right’ way to do this work. It is just a spiritual practice that allows you to open the gateway to your soul.
As you settle in to spend time with your soul, you will want to ask your soul for their name. Treat this time as if you are getting reacquainted with an old friend. A friend you may have forgotten about in the past, but are now awakening to in this present moment.
Awaken to your soul and learn to rest and receive in this place of beauty as you begin to inquire within the sanctuary of your soul.
